Los
tenistas latinos siguen dando la pelea en estos juegos. Juan Martín Del Potro
sigue adelante en estas olimpiadas. El camino que comenzó con la victoria
ante Djokovic y siguió con los triunfos
ante el portugués Joao Sousa y el japonés Daniel, continuará mañana en en
cuartos de final ante el español Roberto Bautista Agut, número 17 del mundo.
En
caso de clasificarse a semifinales, Del Potro se medirá contra el ganador del
partido que Rafael Nadal jugará contra Thomaz Bellucci. En la otra llave, el
actual campeón olímpico Andy Murray, enfrentará al estadounidense Steve
Johnson, mientras que el japonés Kei Nishikori chocará con el francés Gael
Monfils.
En
cuanto a las damas, la tenista puertorriqueña Mónica Puig hizo historia para su
país al vencer a la checa Petra Kvitova y ganarse un puesto en la gran final de
tenis individual para damas. Puig, que venía de ganar a Muguruza y a Laura
Siegemund en sus últimos dos partidos, le sumó un plus a su exitoso paso por
Rio de Janeiro al vencer a la doble campeona de Wimbledon.
Con
este éxito la jugadora de 22 años aseguró al menos la medalla de plata y se
convertirá en la primera mujer en ganar una medalla olímpica representando a
Puerto Rico. Se acerca el final de este torneo, y se esperan excelentes
partidos. Emoción y pasión en esta justa olímpica.

Latino players
continue to give the fight in these games. Juan Martin Del Potro goes on in
these Olympics. The journey that began with a win over Djokovic and followed
with wins against the Portuguese Joao Sousa and Japanese Daniel, will continue
tomorrow in the quarter-final against Spanish Roberto Bautista Agut, world
number 17.
If classified to
the semifinals, Del Potro will face the winner of the match against Rafael
Nadal Thomaz Bellucci will play. In the other key, the current Olympic champion
Andy Murray face American Steve Johnson, while Japan's Kei Nishikori clash with
Frenchman Gael Monfils.
As for the
ladies, Puerto Rican tennis player Monica Puig made history for his country by
defeating Czech Petra Kvitova and earn a spot in the final of singles tennis
for ladies. Puig, who had won Muguruza and Laura Siegemund in their last two
games, he added a plus to his successful spell at Rio de Janeiro by beating the
